Yesterday I headed down to the poker rally our community hosts every thanksgiving weekend. This is the second time I have gone and it is always a lot of fun. See a lot of neighbors I don't see all the time and some new people I have never met as well.
I took Razz today and she was full of energy, which I should have known cause living in the corral gives her nowhere to burn off her energy, but she was still pretty good considering. We got there about 11:30 which apparently was way later than Neil was supposed to be there cause he was running one of the stations, but somehow there was a mix-up in times and so we he missed a bunch of people at his station but there is always someone else to help out.
We started out at the same place as last year and it is so pretty down there this time of year and out by the river. It was a little different route this year and that was OK, there is kinda a trail all the way so it is not too hard to find out where we were going. Razz got kinda attached to her friends she just met that morning and we got behind ( I was visiting) and we loped to catch up, she kinda liked that. But mostly walking. After the second station we had to trot to catch up and by the time we did she was kinda tired. I was glad of that and she was much better behaved after that.
I really enjoyed the ride this year. I rode with people I did not know very well but now I know them a little better. There was a lot of wagons there and always some good teamsters there. Including the guy who bought my Henry horse.
We passed a area where the trees were fenced out and Razz started wandering around them and so I let her go and somehow she knew there was water there, which was amazing cause I sure never did. She was a little surprised it was in a tire, but she got over that and had a drink.
I cant wait till next year to go back again.

Your trail world is so different that mine but both equally beautiful. You didn't say how your poker hand did.
