Behind

Its been so crazy and my Internet hasn't been working, but I got a new computer and its great!  I love the fact I can actually post a blog all in one sitting!  My mom came out for a couple days last week and that was so much fun, but nothing got done.  But that's okay, its nice to just relax for a few days.

I helped my friend move last Saturday and stayed over at my sisters house so we could take her kids to camp on Sunday.  Sure a nice drive up to Gull Lake.  Of course on the way home, we had to go shopping!  We didn't end up with a whole lot but sure was fun.

And I took Jamaica over to Jardis and he is gonna get gelded on Monday afternoon hopefully.  He is much improved, I led him off the trailer, all the way to Jardis barn and in the stall and he was fine, then Tuesday I walk in the stall and he walks over to me and just stands there while I put on the halter and pick up all four feet, so I am pretty happy with him.  He sure is a talker though, every time a person goes by he is talking.

And then I brought Dinero over for a week too cause I figured if I am going to be over there everyday with Jamaica, I might as well ride while I'm there.  I gave him a bath and he was actually pretty clean, except him mane and tail of course. I was surprised cause he hasn't had a bath since last summer. And the first ride I had on him ovet there we seen a moose and 2 deer, and he didnt freak out over them which I was pretty happy about.

And yesterday I helped my aunt put up wainscoting in my Mom's house, sure looks nice!  It still needs the top rail and caulked and painted but what a difference!

Weekend Plans

Last weekend I had nothing planned, I was gonna spend it relaxing and doing what I wanted.  And then Charlene phoned and asked if I was interested in going to the Strathmore rodeo.  Well I thought that sounded like fun, so we went to the chuck wagons actually and walked around the grounds and it was fun.  Oh and Neil caught me a horse, we call him Jordie after Jordie Fike who threw them out at the crowd.

Then Sunday My mom and Clint had celebrated their birthdays, and wanted to do something fun so we decided Mini-golf was it.  It has been so long since I mini-golfed but I really enjoyed it, more than I thought I woulda.

I even got a hole in one!  That was sure a surprise, must have been an easy hole, lol.

We had a lot of fun, there was eight of us there and so two groups went and at one hole we all landed our balls at the same spot on the green, kinda like a ball party.

Afterwards we headed to Chili's restaurant to eat and I had hot chicken strips and fries and coleslaw.  The chicken was a sesame-chipoltle sauce and it was sooo good, but a  little hotter than I wanted.

All in all a fun day with the family, and afterwards my Mom says I got a gift for you, I was surprised and it was a cowboy sprinkler and it was for our anniversary.  I used it and it works really well.

Horses and Markings

A few weeks ago Kate from A Year With Horses did a post on markings on her horses, very little white she has there, so I thought it was kinda interesting and am doing my own now.  The two paints not sure they really count, but I will include them anyways.

I have 3 (Razz, Dinero, and Jazz) with 4 white socks, one with three white socks (Jamaica), one with two white socks (Kali, although one is so tiny its hardly there) and 5 with no white socks (George, Bailey, Disco, Casino and Belle)

For faces, there are 6 with some white on thier face (Belle (stripe), Jamaica (strip) Razz (star and strip), George (tiny star), and Jazz (odd stripe)), and 3 with no white at all (Disco, Casino and Bailey)

And color, 3 sorrels (Belle, Jamaica and George), one Palomino (Dinero), one red Dun (Bailey), one buckskin (Razz), one Black (Jazz),  2 Bay (Kali and Disco), and one Ba roan (Casino).

I really like the white on them, probly why I like the paints so much, they are just like a quarter horse with extra white :))  Have learned that I have no favorite color anymore, although a Bay horse always looks good.  But any color can be pretty.  And right now I actually think Razz is the prettiest.

So all together in 10 horses there are 3 with no markings, 17 white socks, and 6 white faces.
