Sunday Stills--Patriotism

This week our Sunday Stills Challenge was Patriotism or Fourth of July Celebration, but since I am in Canada, I am doing First of July celebration.  Works well as we celebrated on Friday.

The day started out with a pancake breakfast and then there was Canada cake and homemade ice cream.  We missed the ice cream which is too bad cause I heard it tasted fantastic.

They had a bunch of games for the kids like a coloring contest and fishing, tin can walking, bean bag toss, and speeder car rides.

Then came the exciting part, an antique tractor parade.  Neil's dad volunteers at the museum so he is always a tractor driver and this year Neil drove one as well.  I was given the oppertunity but thought too many drivers would show up later, but I guess they never did, oh well maybe next year.

I didn't know what to take for patrism, so I got a bunch of shots of the day, some of the best I think are the new Canadians, cause they are so excited to be in Canada where as we tend to take it for granted.

After the parade, we headed to the rec center in hopes for getting in a swim but that was not till way later in the day, but we had free hamburgers and got to watch a girl spin a plate on a stick while holding a ping pong ball on her nose and using a hula hoop!  She was pretty good!

They also had a pair of Sumo Wrestler suits that you could put on and wrestle each other, that was soo funny cause they needed help getting up.

Afterwards we had a BBQ (like we needed more food, lol)  then sat around all afternoon and were bored till dark and went and watched the foreworks.
