Sunday Stills--Favorite Place

This week our sunday stills is our favorite place to be.  I am not sure how this is meant, but here is how I interpereted it.  In the winter one of my favorite spots to be is at Jardis barn.  This is where I board my horses and ride them, and this year also have a horse in training.

One of my other favorite winter places to be is the carribean.  This is St Maartin, but I really like any place in the carribean.

My favorite place in the summer is outside.  It doesnt really matter where outside, with my horses, in the garden, or just anywhere.

For more check out Sunday Stills.

Farm Friend Friday

This week I entered Farm Friend Friday from Verde Farms.  Pretty fun.  Kinda neat to see who is out there and what type of farm they have.  Fun way to see more blogs too, check them out.

I was feeling sorry for my outside horses, lol.  Funny cause they all live outside.  But I was meaning the pasture horses, Dinero, George, Belle, Bailey and Disco.  I realized it had been a couple weeks since I had been to see them.  I usually am out there at least once and prefer twoce a week, but it had been a couple weeks between me being sick and it being cold, I kinda forgot.  Well I went out there today and they we happy to see me.  As always, I like to think its me they want to see, but its more likely the oats I bring.  I always worry this time of year when its cold and especially with the snow we had this year cause I am not feeding them any extra, they just get the pasture grass that grew all summer.  Well after this morning, no need to feel sorry for them, they are plenty fat!  Which is good, I never expected any different, but being as Disco is pregnant and Dinero is only 3 and Bailey had a tendancy to be thin, I was worried but am now much relieved.

I rode the Razz yesterday in our reguar bridle and she was really good again, still a little bracey, but nothing we cant work out.  I am thinking I have to work on her more lateral softening, we do some and she gets good and I quit, but then she gets stiff again, so I guess I will have to keep on doing it every so often.

Cold and Sunny

Finally we got rid of the wind!  that was awful, made the day seem soo long.

I had an appointment at the doctor in Hanna because lst time I went, on the 14th, he told me to come back if I wast better when the perscription ran out.  Well I was hoping i was better, so I waited and decided I am not so back I went.

He listned to me cough and breathe, and I told him it hurts when I breathe deeply which he said is Pluresy and he hears something odd, so sent me for chest x-rays cause maybe a touch of pnemonia.  He gave me a stronger perscription and an inhaler and said he will call after the radioligist has a look at the x-rays.

Guess I shoulda gone back sooner, but I really thought I was getting better.  I guess its okay that the weather is kinda yucky out so I can stay home and get better, but Im not sure its better to stay indoors and breathe stale air, or if the fresh cold outdoor air is better.

Catching Up

I seem to have been missing out posting, I am working on a few posts but havent finished them yet.  I cant believe I even missed out on Sunday Stills, I had photos of the tv shows we watch and everthing.  Oh well its not all bad, the weather was half decent so I have been riding :)

Saturday I went over to Kand K livestock and only ended up buying the coolest pink bucket ever!  I also bought some treats and a calender, I was thinking I should look at saddles, but Karen was in Olds with the saddles.  Which is probly okay considering I can't buy one till I have a horse sold.

Afterwards I rode Razz and she just ran through the stop which she has never done before, not sure what was  going on there, but she was also bracing really bad at the corners at a lope and it was horrible.  We put on a twisted wire snaffle and martingale on her and then she was a little better, but she hasnt been like that before, not sure what was going on.  Then I rode Tom cause he was just folowing me everywhere and we had the best ride ever!  We had such a normal trot it was amazing!!  I needed that after Razz too.

On Sunday I put the same twisted wire on her and we had a fantastic ride.  Not sure if it was the bit or she just had a bad day on Saturday, but I was way happier.  We also worked the flag and it was probly her best time yet.  We are gonna have to do a lot more flag work in the next few weeks to get ready for the clinics we are going to.

Glad I got those two rides in though, cause its yucky out today, not sure how it can be windy and foggy at the same time though.  and it sounds like the weather is gonna be bad for a while now.  I am hoping not, but....it sure has been a lot of cold this year.

I also got a call about Gypsy and they are coming to see her on Friday.  Sounds like a good fit, so we will see.
