Yard Fence

I have been wanting a fence around my  yard for as long as I have lived in this house, longer really cause I wanted one at my other house before this too.   Finally I talked Neil into it and this spring we bought the rails.

The yard is kinda bare and the only way to tell it from the rest of the place is by the mowed area.

Forever there has been bulls and cows out and they get on my lawn which is soft from watering and big holes get dug in the grass and its horrible to try and fill them, so I want a fence.

Finally this morning Neil says how about we pound those posts for the yard fence.  I was shocked!  I thought he must be out of his mind, but no and we got the posts in.

It was a little more work than I planned, cause the post pounder and tractor don't fit as well around the yard with trees and buildings and stuff in the way.

We decided on a gate where I will build an arbour and two other spots we can fit out past the end of the posts.

There were a few spots Neil had to back into to get the pounder close enough to where we wanted it.  But we got it done and  now we need to put up the rails, and Neil got a palm nailer, so that shouldn't take that long, but It has to wait for another day cause we are headed to Brooks for supper for my and Neils sister and Niece's birthday supper.

OOh looks promising!

And the wintertime is the best time to plan for plants, seeds, landscaping ~ got me through some tough cold spells in January-February lol!

YEAH! A Fence! I have a hedge and it works wonders, but when we put the cows on the fields we still have to string electric fencing.

Oh yay! Can't wait to see it when it's done. Then you can stick your tongue out at the cows on the other side of your pretty yard. hehe!
