Baby Calves

We have about 22 baby calves so far this year, a little more than 10 percent of the total.  They are so cute when they are little (then they grow up to be cows).

This one was just wandering around with its mother following it.

Some are sleeping.

Some are licking thier mommies instead of thier mommy licking them.

And some are itchy.

All in all pretty cute little calves.  Although I would prefer a few more white faces in there.

Good lookin' calves! I see brown ground too...what a relief that is. Good luck with all the rest of the herd.

They sure are cute when they are little, and then they grow to be cows :) It is amazing the different breeds and why everyone prefers a particular one. I have been around Angus since the hubby worked on a feedlot where they feed to finish, and they had just angus. So, that is what we like and of course the hubby knows the real reason he would prefer to have that breed. Isn't it nice to see the ground?

The calves are very cute. Twnety-two is a lot. I'd been needing a long break after that. LOL
