Leftovers and Nerves

This week a lot has happened.  I was supposed to go help pull more bulls today, but we got up and it was cold and windy so we cancelled for a warmer day.  Which was OK with me cause I am going to the clinic tomorrow and of course didn't have everything ready.  I was gonna get everything done this morning till Neil decided we needed to go visit the neighbors and since its the people I used to work for, I had to go.  But it was good, don't get over there enough anymore and I really enjoy visiting them.

I am glad I got my hay delivered this week as I needed some for the weekend.  I asked my neighbor for 30-40 bales, just enough to go to a few shows and stuff cause I hate begging off people cause we use all rounds at home.  Well he made a deal with Neil and I got 80 (a load) and Neil will do some baling for him.  So win-win for me :)
(aww Baby antelopes is soooo cute!)
I did get the trailer all cleaned out and most stuff packed.  I still have my suitcase to pack, but that is less important than making sure I have all Jessie's stuff.  I guess if I am missing anything K and K is not too far away but I should be OK.
(set of horns I picked up)
I feel so unprepared for the clinic.  I have not worked cows since March.  Although i have been riding, probly not as much as everyone else.  And poor Jessie's tail is so short from bugs and walking through the carraganas to rub bugs off.  And she doesn't have a blanket like I'm sure all the others will.  But I feel confident in her ability and so I think it will be good.  And if not on Friday it will just look like we improved so much by Sunday.
(clouds as we got back to drop off Char on Tuesday,
they got probly 1.5 inches of rain in 20 mins.
We just waited in barn till it was over)
I gave Jessie a day off yesterday not intending she get today off too.  I trail rode Sun and Tues, and Mon was bulls as was today supposed to be so I thought she deserved a say off cause no more days off till Monday, which I will be taking as I need a day off.

I'm sure you'll do fine! Can totally relate to those clinic nerves though, no matter how prepared you are you still feel like you haven't done enough. Have fun and learn lots!

I'd be nervous too!! I will never forget the show nerves! It always started the day before a show and didn't go away until I finished a class or two!
Good luck at the clinic and have fun!!

Have fun you'll be fine. I wish somebody around here would let me help with their cattle....that's the problem with not knowing anyone I guess.
